DIFFERENT TYPES
OF LAWNS
The JARDI team will form new lawns and maintain existing ones. We lay carpet lawns. When forming a lawn, we take into account the growing conditions of the site and choose the right type of lawn for sunny, shady, dry or wet areas, as well as the right type of lawn for the purpose and workload.
FORMING THE LAWNS
IN NEW GARDENS
On new sites, we prepare the subsoil by levelling and cleaning, raising or lowering the existing level. We provide topsoiling and levelling, sowing and topdressing, as well as laying carpet lawns. The work is carried out using appropriate large or small tractors and careful handwork by our team.
LAWN
CARE
Maintaining existing lawns - verticulation, sowing and fertilising according to the season. Verticulation should be done annually to prevent moss build-up in the lawn due to soil compaction and lack of air in the soil. Verticutting means that the turf is cut vertically to a depth of up to 4 cm. The turf surface is cleared of lawn debris - dead grass clippings, leaves and other debris that accumulates directly on the soil, seals it and prevents air, water and nutrients from reaching the soil normally.
How is the lawn formed and how much does it cost?
We use both manual labour and suitable large or small tractors to lay the lawn. The process and cost of installing a lawn depends on the amount of material that needs to be imported or exported to prepare the subsoil, the total area of the lawn and the amount of fertile soil to be added, the installation of grass seed or carpet grass, the location of the site and the amount of work. Estimates are prepared individually for each site.
Is lawn verticulation important and how much does it cost?
Lawn verticulation thins the topsoil to facilitate oxygen, moisture and nutrient supply to the roots. Verticutting cleans the lawn of old grass, moss and leaves. It is preferable to verticut your lawn once a year. Lawn verticutting is carried out at a rate of EUR 0.35 per square metre. In addition, transport and material costs are calculated for fertilisers and grass seed, as well as for the removal of collected green waste after verticutting.
How often should I water my lawn?
Immediately after sowing, the lawn should be watered daily (early morning or evening). Once the new grass has sprouted, watering can be done less frequently, two to four times a week, depending on the weather.
