TYPES OF
IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
JARDI offers solar watering systems and rainwater harvesting barrels suitable for greenhouses and root gardens. For hedges and ornamental planting, we offer in-ground drip irrigation systems that can be used in a simplified way by connecting a garden hose or by connecting an automatic irrigation system. We offer complex automatic watering systems and sprinkler systems for lawns in cooperation with JARDI partners.
GARDEN WATERING
FREQUENCY
It is very important to water your garden properly - infrequently, but thoroughly - so that the deep root system develops properly The duration of watering depends on the plants - 20-30 min two to three times a week for lawns, 2-4 h twice a week for hedges, depending on their size. When setting up an automatic irrigation system, it is important to properly separate the irrigation sectors so that the amount and frequency of irrigation can be adjusted for different plant groups. When planning your garden, we recommend that you objectively assess the time needed for watering - whether you will be able to do it yourself - and consider installing a full or partial automatic garden watering system in good time.
How do solar irrigation systems work?
The solar irrigation system provides automatic irrigation using solar energy. It is easy to install and automatically adjusts the watering frequency – the more sun, the more water. It provides significant water savings compared to manual watering, as water is supplied to each plant and does not run off unnecessarily, but is gradually absorbed into the soil. Solar irrigation systems can be used in greenhouses, root gardens and other small areas.
What are self-watering pots and how do they work?
Self-watering pots, thanks to their design, ensure a stable moisture level in the soil. The pot consists of two parts – a water reservoir and an inner container for the soil, with an optimum ratio of 2:1. The outer water reservoir protects the roots from overheating, while the holes and air exchange gaps in the inner pot, as well as the fabric strips that absorb water and supply the right level of moisture to the root system, provide the plants with the right amount of water in a complex way. The water level indicator warns you if the water level is too high or low. If you keep the pot in the garden, any excess water will be diverted away on rainy days.
