For our client in Riga, we have installed the most popular standard series model from the Belgian manufacturer Janssens. This MASTER glass greenhouse – orangery 384×605 has a 2m high side wall. The client chose to install the greenhouse on a paved surface. He wants to use it both for growing plants and for cozy relaxation during the cooler season.
In orangery-type greenhouses, we recommend to our clients to combine cultivation in raised beds with the self-watering pots offered in our online store. The self-watering pot models Berberis UNO, DUO, and TRIO are truly excellent for growing tomatoes, while cucumbers, lettuce, and other greenhouse crops can be grown in the raised beds.
This arrangement allows the greenhouse space to be fully used for cultivation during the summer season. In late autumn and early spring it can be used as a conservatory for relaxation, extending the enjoyment of the garden season by at least three months.
The raised beds are 40 cm high, made of wooden beams, with the inside lined with a rubber membrane for moisture protection. In the spring, the greenhouse is planned to be equipped with a rainwater barrel and a solar watering system that will automatically water the plants in the beds.
This MASTER orangery is equipped with the following additional features:
- double sliding doors,
- a low threshold,
- six roof windows with automatic openers,
- louvre wall windows,
- a blinds-type shading system.
