Flowerbed design and installation in Mārupē is the continuation of the story about a private house garden, where the JARDI team implemented a thoughtful and sustainable garden design project. As part of the work, the entire area was landscaped, and a high-quality turf lawn was laid. Decorative, functional plantings were created that harmoniously blend with the architecture of the house and paved paths.
JARDI landscape specialists planned and installed three decorative flowerbeds elegantly integrated into the paved surface. In the largest flowerbed, a path made of concrete slabs was created, serving not only as a design element but also as a practical solution – it allows little cyclists to safely and comfortably ride around the house. This solution demonstrates that good garden design combines aesthetics with everyday usability.
The flower beds are designed as airy compositions of perennials and grasses. This approach to the garden provides movement, lightness, and a changing atmosphere throughout the year. Vertical accents in the plantings are given by Lamarkia corines, while seasonal splendor is provided by carefully selected hydrangea varieties. From mid-summer, when the gardens are filled with snow-white hydrangea blooms, the plantings reach their visual peak and maintain their decorative appeal well into late autumn.
All plants are chosen with longevity, aesthetics, and minimal maintenance in mind. The flower beds are mulched with fine-fraction pine bark mulch. We recommended this particular option because it not only improves soil structure but also visually enhances the airiness of the plantings and harmonizes with the overall landscaping concept.
