Design and greening of the pond is a project implemented by the JARDI team, in collaboration with Landshape. The main goal of the project was to create a natural, rich, and sustainable landscape that would integrate organically into the surrounding area while providing an immediate visual impact.
To ensure that the landscaping of the area would yield results in the first season, large-sized aquatic plant seedlings were used. Reeds, bulrushes, flag irises, and sweetgrass were planted along the pond’s edge and in shallow water zones. Brightly blooming irises bring both structure and color accents to the landscape. Water lilies, some of the pond’s most spectacular inhabitants, were placed in the central part of the pond. They not only decorate the water surface but also help maintain the balance of the ecosystem.
Overall, the project involved planting 18 large, blooming water lilies and more than 180 different shoreline plants. They create multi-layered and dynamic decorative plantings. This approach allows the pond to develop naturally while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing order and seasonal variation.
Already in the next season, the pond’s owners and visitors will enjoy a magnificent, blooming, and lively landscape, demonstrating how essential a professional approach to garden design and high-quality landscaping is.
